MARCO HIETALA's BLACK SABBATH Tribute Band Performs In Helsinki; Video Available
April 22, 2009SAPATTIVUOSI, a band that performs BLACK SABBATH covers in Finnish, played a show at Tavastia in Helsinki last Friday (April 17). Watch fan-filmed video footage of the performance below.
"Ihmisen Merkki" (translated: Sign of Man),the third album from SAPATTIVUOSI, entered the official chart in the group's home country at position No. 5.
SAPATTIVUOSI is fronted by Marco Hietala, the bass player and vocalist of the Finnish symphonic power metal band NIGHTWISH.
"Ihmisen Merkki" pays tribute to the "Heaven and Hell" and "Mob Rules" albums from the Ronnie James Dio-era BLACK SABBATH, with Finnish versions of "Neon Knights", "Children of the Sea", "Heaven and Hell", "Die Young", "Voodoo", "The Sign of the Southern Cross", "Mob Rules" and "Country Girl". The album is available outside Finland from select Finnish record stores.
